Prayer is one of the great tenets of Christian life, but don’t let the importance of it become restrictive.
Praying is difficult.
You can imagine the Lord speaking your name, saying “I love you so much.” Instinctively, you reply, “Thank you, Lord.” The conversation has begun.
The leaves are falling. There’s a chill in the air. Autumn has returned and, with it, the sweet sight and sounds of a festive season.
We think God will hear our heart’s cry if only we can sanitize it. But in the act of sanitization, we prove we do not trust him, as if he can only handle the sugar-coated prayers.
God cares about the details of our lives.
