This Month in Tyndale History: August Edition
Yes, it’s already August and we’re continuing our year long 50th anniversary celebration. Make sure you check out our special 50th Anniversary page on our main site – www.tyndale.com/50th . You can share your own Tyndale memory or enter our special 50th Anniversary giveaway.
Here’s some notable Tyndale August events over the past 50 years.
August 1962
Copyright for Living Letters was assigned to a trust so that royalties are paid to the Tyndale House Foundation, rather than to Dr. Taylor. Dr.Taylor established the Tyndale House Foundation to distribute these royalties as a fulfillment of a goal he had first expressed a decade earlier – to establish a charitable fund that could make grants to support Christian work around the world. As each portion of the Bible was finished, similar trusts were set up.
August 1988
The Life Application Bible (The Living Bible edition) is published. The editorial work was prepared by a team at Youth For Christ under the leadership of Ron Beers.
