Operation Worship Bible Campaign; Target: 500,000 Bibles to Troops by Christmas

Carol Stream, IL  – Tyndale is currently releasing four new  Operation Worship  Bible editions, one for each branch of the United States military. Each edition bears the distinctive camouflage binding of the branch for which it is intended—the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, and the Marine Corps. The  Operation Worship  Bible, a special NLT edition, features a camouflage inscription page so that a personal encouraging message or prayer can be written in each Bible before it is sent to United States military personnel serving our country in distant lands.

By replicating the strategy that resulted in the successful launch of the 2008  Operation Worship  Bible campaign, CBA, Operation Worship, and K-LOVE radio network are offering a new 2009 campaign to bring customers who will continue purchasing  Operation Worship  Bibles into CBA retail outlets. More than 300,000  Operation Worship  Bibles were purchased and distributed in 2008, and the 2009 goal is to provide a total of half a million  Operation Worship  Bibles for free distribution to our nation’s military by Christmas of 2009. The print run of  Operation Worship  Bibles has exceeded 600,000 units, and early sales for the new releases indicate that we will again meet or exceed our goal.

“People are looking for ways to make a difference. The  Operation Worship  campaign captured the hearts and minds of hundreds of thousands of people eager to reach out to our nation’s military with the Word of God and to express their appreciation for the sacrifice these young men and women are making on our behalf,” said Blaine Smith, Associate Publisher, Tyndale.

“To all of the Christian bookstores in America who support this endeavor, many thanks for your faithful support,” said Jeff and Patti Hilliard, Founders, Open Window Foundation and Operation Worship, a California-based national not-for-profit ministry whose mission is to enrich the spiritual lives of military personnel.

“Knowing the results of the campaign are eternal, we thank God for the privilege to again work with CBA President Bill Anderson, CBA retailers, Operation Worship, and K-LOVE radio network on this 2009 campaign,” said Blaine Smith.

Once again an exclusive to CBA retailers, they may purchase the  Operation Worship Multipack  , prepackaged with eight copies of each of the four editions, for $159.68 suggested retail value (ISBN 978-1-4143-3447-9). The  Operation Worship Multipack  includes easel signage and a display that conveniently becomes a return shipment box. Tyndale also offers free shipping on orders for 32-unit displays and additional quantities. The National Marketing Campaign features radio advertising and promotion, Internet marketing, a church promotion kit, and a local market promotion kit, with free promotional resources available at: www.TyndaleBooksellers.com/OperationWorship .
