New Beginnings: 12 NLT Verses for Transitions and Changes
New Beginnings: 12 NLT Verses for Transitions and Changes

Transitions and changes in life can be equal parts terrifying and beautiful. There’s something unsettling about stepping into the unknown, whether you are moving into a new school, house, job, or season of life. We don’t like it when we don’t know what’s ahead.
At the same time, there is something wonderful about a new beginning. A big life change can be an open door, an opportunity to leave the old life behind, and a chance to start again with a clean slate.
Jesus offers us a new beginning that is more drastic than any other kind of change: he says we must be “born again” (John 3:3). Choosing to follow Jesus is not just saying a prayer but starting a new life. When we choose to accept God’s forgiveness and put our trust in him, the Holy Spirit begins a supernatural transformation in our hearts.
Use these verses to remember the beauty of new beginnings and take courage in the face of change.
All verses are cited from the New Living Translation (NLT).

Romans 6:4

Romans 12:2
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
Ephesians 4:21-24
