Q:     What’s most different in the Life Application Study Bible, as compared to other study Bibles. 

A:      Its value begins with the unique character of its study notes, which include (1) the information necessary to help you understand the passage and the truth that is being taught, (2) an explanation of how the truth is relevant for today, and (3) the application to your personal situation.

Q:     Why are you updating this Bible brand?

A:      To maintain the core benefit of the LASB as a Bible that applies God’s Word to daily life, we needed to better address changes in culture, advances in scholarship, and variations in editorial style over 30 years.  This enables us to give readers more of everything they’ve come to love about the LASB – more insight, accuracy, depth, application, and sensitivity to today’s issues.

Q:     What are the significant changes in the Third Edition?

A:     Nearly 40% of the ancillary material (not the biblical text) is new.  Thousands of notes have been significantly edited and revised, there are hundreds of new notes, more than 20 new people profiles, and many new charts. We’ve also added a second, accent color in the interior for visual clarity

Q:   In what translations will the 3^rd Edition be published?

A:    The 3^rd Edition will initially be published in September 2019 in the NLT and the NIV. It will be published in the KJV in 2021, and other translations are being considered.

Q:   When will the Personal Size and Large Print LASB Third Editions be released?

A:    Personal Size and Large Print editions in NLT and NIV will be released in April 2020

Q:   What is the font size of this new full-size edition?

A:    8.5 Meta Serif Pro Book, a readable font similar to the Second Edition.

Q:   With all the new material, how much larger is this new edition?

A:    The increase in size in almost indiscernible –just 3%. Page count has gone from  2,416 to 2,496 pages.
