Benjamin Watson is a former NFL tight end, as well as a writer, speaker, and activist. He is a college football studio analyst with the SEC Network, and he serves as VP of strategic relationships with the Human Coalition, one of the largest pro-life and pro-woman organizations in the country. Along with his wife, Kirsten, he is the founder of Watson One More Inc, a nonprofit focused on strengthening families. They live in Georgia with their seven children.

Watson, the author of Under Our Skin, describes the impact he hopes to make with his newest book, The New Fight for Life.

WHY IS THIS BOOK IMPORTANT TO YOU?

To understand our responsibility in the present, we must always consider the implications of the past. This book is important to me because it does both.

With black children disproportionally aborted in this country, abortion cannot be discussed without asking why. And when I ask why, I move beyond talking points and move toward peeling back the painful layers that have buried the truth.

This topic is not easy, but this book is a journey that my heart and my hands needed to travel.

WHAT SETS YOUR BOOK APART FROM OTHER BOOKS ON THIS TOPIC?

Some books focus on policy, some focus on prevention, and others focus on piety. I wrote my new book as a prescription. An opportunity for healing, rooted in a faith that motivates me to stand for life at every stage. The New Fight for Life casts a vision for what the pro-life movement needs to become in this post-Roe era and challenges the church, the body of Christ, to lead this charge.
