9 Verses for When Life Gets Busy

The Lord calls his people to do all things for his glory, even in times of extreme busyness. When we invite God into everything we do, we experience deep communion with him. Through him we are able to find complete rest despite the ups and downs of our lives.

Even though the Lord shows grace in these times, we must remember to focus on him always and nurture our relationship with him in order to know him better every day. Read these Bible verses to refocus on the Lord and find rest in his presence in the midst of your busyness.

Matthew 11:28

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”

1 Corinthians 10:31

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Psalm 46:10

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”

Matthew 6:33

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

Hebrews 13:20-21

Now may the God of peace—who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood—may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.

Philippians 4:6-7

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Ecclesiastes 3:1

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.

Psalm 143:7-8

Come quickly, Lord, and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don’t turn away from me, or I will die. Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.

Luke 10:38-42

As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”
