I had been searching for a book on Christian financial principles to use in my Sunday school class, and one day while browsing a local Christian bookstore I picked up a copy of Ron Blue's new book, Surviving Financial Meltdown. I read it and then went to Ron's Web site, MasterYourMoney.com, and saw the resources available there. The principles in Surviving Financial Meltdown are right on target for my class of 30-somethings. Combined with the other support materials you provide, I am confident my class will benefit greatly at a time when we all need to focus on what God's Word commands us regarding our financial resources.
This isn't a long book, but it's definitely worth reading. The authors provide practical advice but also address the fears we have about money. I liked that the authors recognize the complex relationship people have with money and don't offer advice in the breezy tone that many finance authors seem to adopt. I'm going to pass this book on to some family members who are facing financial struggles.
I didn’t know who Ron and Jeremy were until the book Surviving Financial Meltdown was put in front of my face. I attended a Crown Ministries seminar back in 2000, but I didn’t move on it. I thought we were budgeting over the last two years, but we were still falling short. I’m to blame for that. After I read and studied Ron and Jeremy’s book, I finally got it. It’s simple and straightforward and gave me direction. It wasn’t a book that I got lost in and walked away from, asking, “What next?” Thank you so very much for your book and wisdom. It’s made me feel much better having a plan!
