Bill, I just can’t tell you how thankful that I am to God that he led me to your book Six Battles Every Man Must Win. At the time I was really struggling with my job and workload and the traveling that went along with it, and I was just about at my rope’s end. Then while traveling for work a few months ago I was in the airport in Phoenix, Arizona. I was waiting for my flight and was just wandering around, and I had this sudden urge to go into this little bookstore, and right there was a stand of Christian-related books. So I started turning the rack, looking at the covers on the books, and yours just hit me like a ton of bricks, and the voice of the Holy Spirit told me to pick up this book and check it out. After I looked at the book a little I knew it was the voice of our Lord telling me to buy this book and read it because it was so overwhelming. I bought the book and started reading it, and by the time my flight landed in Portland, Oregon, where I live, I had read half the book and felt like a huge load had been lifted off of my shoulders. When I finished the book, I sent it to my dad, and he loved it too!! Bill, the Lord has made you a great teacher and has definitely used you as a tool to help me get through a rough patch. Keep up the good work, my friend!!
I just had to say thank you for Six Battles Every Man Must Win! The book was given out to all of the dads at Shadow Mountain Community Church on Father’s Day. I just completed it this morning, and what a blessing! Thank you! I made a covenant with my Lord and Savior this morning to make the four spiritual disciplines a daily routine in my life. Please keep up the great work. I will pass your book on from this end to do whatever I can do.
Just wanted to let you know that we finished our study from your book Six Battles. . . . It went great, and the guys got a lot out of it. I really appreciated the first chapter (laying out your own salvation experience in such a simple way) because some of the guys were at such a basic level in their understanding of God, and it helped them to know that this experience was possible for them too. Blessings!
