Deepen your understanding of Jesus: The Missing Messiah Study Guide→
The twenty-ninth edition of the Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum Graece (NA29), combined with Barclay M. Newman's Greek-English Dictionary, which has been adapted to the vocabulary of NA29.
The “Nestle-Aland” is regarded worldwide as the authoritative standard among editions of the Greek New Testament. After well over ten years of intensive preparation, a new edition is now being published. The 29th edition (NA 29) offers the most up-to-date Greek text, incorporating the textual changes from the volumes of the Editio Critica Maior (ECM) on the Acts of the Apostles (2017), the Gospel of Mark (2021) and Revelation (2025). As a result, the text differs from that of the 28th edition in well over one hundred places.
The comprehensive critical apparatus includes clearly structured entries on all major textual variants. The selection of manuscripts has been supplemented, among other things, by new manuscripts (Papyri 128 to 141). An easy-to-read introduction in German and English helps readers to use the edition.
All in one, the edition is now better suited than ever for in-depth study of the New Testament in its original language. Its development has been overseen by an international and interdenominational editorial board. The edition was compiled at the prestigious Institute for New Testament Textual Research in Münster, Germany.
