Ever since it arrived in the mail, Miriam has been drawn to Tyndale's My First Hands-On Bible for Preschoolers. Miriam is more of a toddler than preschooler; however, she LOVES books!! This one has a eye-catching cover and lots of fun illustrations. We have to be careful with paper (vs. board) books around here, but she likes to sit in her "reading chair" and leaf carefully through a good book; this one happens to be THE Good Book for little ones! What I love about this sweet little Bible is that it is a way to introduce Miriam to all the wonderful stories in the Bible and to talk about JESUS. There are "Do It" activities along with every story - and I'm looking forward to her understanding enough in a year to be able to keep using this Bible over time. My family is definitely going to be using the Hands-On Bible with Miriam for years to come (recommended for ages 3-5; Miriam is 22 months old and already loving it!). I love the incorporation of actual Scripture, prayers, practical application on a preschool level, and as mentioned before the "Do It"activities.
