Tyndale’s The Wayfinding Bible™ Receives Award Nomination

Wayfinding Is Announced as an ECPA 2014 Christian Book Award® Finalist

[Carol Stream, Ill.]—The Wayfinding Bible from Tyndale House Publishers has been selected as a finalist for the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association’s (ECPA) 2014 Christian Book Award®. The ECPA announced 36 finalists in seven categories for the 2014 Christian Book Award®, a program that honors Christian publishing’s best book and Bible releases of the year. The Wayfinding Bible was one of five finalists selected for the Bibles category. The winner in each category will be announced at the awards banquet on April 28.

“This is a fantastic honor,” says Brian Gee, Brand Manager for The Wayfinding Bible at Tyndale. “To follow up last year’s win for the Chronological Life Application Study Bible with another nomination this year is a true testament to the creativity, innovation, and dedication of our team here at Tyndale.”

The Wayfinding Bible (October 2013, ISBN 978-1-4143-6192-5, HC, $34.99) is all about making the story of the Bible easy to read and share with anyone. It features three easy-to-follow routes that take both new and experienced Bible readers through Scripture. Readers simply pick a route and follow the guides at the top of the page for a flyover view of the Bible in 54 readings, a direct trek in about 200 readings, or a scenic journey in just under 400 readings. Coupled with the text of the New Living Translation®, which breathes life into even the most difficult-to-understand passages, The Wayfinding Bible is the easiest way to quickly get the big picture of God’s Word.

Tens of thousands of people have already rediscovered their love for Bible reading using The Wayfinding Bible. Among them are the over 13,000 people who signed up to experience the World’s Biggest Small Group, a joint promotion that Tyndale and WAY-FM successfully launched together in October 2013. The World’s Biggest Small Group offered WAY-FM listeners the opportunity to read through The Wayfinding Bible’s Flyover Route with popular radio host Wally and major recording artists such as Casting Crowns, Tenth Avenue North, Steven Curtis Chapman, Mandisa, and Building 429.

Consumers have overwhelmingly enjoyed their Wayfinding Bible experience, and many churches have decided to adopt The Wayfinding Bible’s Flyover Route as a sermon and small-group series. As one reader noted, “I truly loved this—it was the best way I’ve ever had to go through the Bible. Being a lifelong believer, I was amazed that there were still some parts of the most well-known stories that I didn’t know.”

Brian says, “Tyndale’s purpose is to minister to the spiritual needs of people. Above any honor, we’re thrilled that The Wayfinding Bible fulfills this purpose in the lives of so many within the church.”
