Tyndale House Publishers to Release Duck Commander® Fiction

Carol Stream, Ill.—Tyndale House Publishers (@tyndalehouse) announces the upcoming publication of Duck Commander® fiction titles, which will release in October 2014. The Duck Commander® brand and Robertson family are partnering with Tyndale House to bring their promise of faith, family, and fun to stories for both adult and youth fiction readers.

A Robertson Family Christmas (ISBN: 978-1-4143-9820-4/$19.99/October 2014) is a holiday novella about a troubled young man who is surprised to win a contest giving him the opportunity to join the Robertson family for Christmas. Although he’s uninitiated and initially resistant to the “Robertson holiday way,” he ultimately finds hope, love, and acceptance in their faith-filled environment. Miss Kay Robertson and Korie Robertson are teaming with Travis Thrasher (@travisthrasher) to bring this heartwarming and humorous story to life.

In addition, a four-book juvenile adventure series, Be Your Own Duck Commander®, will release in October 2014. Written by John Luke Robertson, Willie and Korie’s son, (@john316Luke923) with Travis Thrasher, this series will feature the main characters of Duck Commander® in zany adventures. Targeted at the 8 to 12 age group, each book will give young readers a variety of paths out of trouble and wacky challenges to resolve each story line. The first book in the series, Willie’s Redneck Time Machine (ISBN: 978-1-4143-9813-6/$9.99), is a wild, action-packed journey with wise lessons embedded along the way. Willie has the opportunity to go back to high school and write his younger self a letter, filled with all the sound advice he wished he had earlier in life. The story also includes time travel stops, like Noah’s ark and the Civil War. Additional adventure books in this series include Phil & the Ghost of Camp Ch-Yo-Ca, Si in Space, and Jase & the Deadliest Hunt.

Tyndale associate publisher Karen Watson says, “We believe that fiction is the perfect addition to the Duck Commander® brand. Tyndale is thrilled to be able to bring our experience in fiction to these projects. A Robertson Family Christmas will be a nice addition to the holiday season, and we consider John Luke’s ongoing positive influence through the Duck Commander® adventure series to be a great way to encourage young readers.”
