While still in college, she began teaching women's Bible studies and she has continued to invest in the lives of other women for the past 46 years. She has been blessed to mentor many women one-on-one, has served as a women's ministry director at her local church, and speaks at retreats and leads group Bible studies locally and across the country.
She and her husband Hank (a former state senator) formed SAV America Ministries through which they developed and taught The Christ-Centered Home Seminar Curriculum for many years. As a couple, they sought to establish a Christ-centered home where their sons, Jon and Andy, could find the destiny that God had assigned to them. Through their homeschooling journey, their sons did just that, founding Erwin Brothers
Entertainment and becoming award-winning filmmakers of four major motion pictures: October Baby, Moms' Night Out, Woodlawn, and I Can Only Imagine.
She now manages her own successful travel company with 30 independent contractor agents working under her. Her greatest joy has been being a wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.
