Lisa Whittle

Lisa Whittle has an extensive background in the church, from her experiences as a lifelong pastor's daughter to serving in nonprofit ministry and planting a church with her husband. Her education includes master's work in marriage and family counseling, which has provided a backdrop for her various leadership positions within both church and parachurch organizations. Lisa's core passion is to boldly inspire the church to represent Jesus well.

Lisa is the author of three books, including her latest with Tyndale's Barna imprint. Her other works include The 7 Hardest Things God Asks a Woman to Do with her coauthor/mother, Kathie Reimer (Shepherd Press, 2007) and Behind Those Eyes: What's Really Going on Inside the Souls of Women (Thomas Nelson, 2008). She has contributed to numerous publications, including HomeLife, Just Between Us, and Women of Faith's Connection. She speaks to audiences across the United States and has served on both writing and leadership panels.

As coordinator for the nationally recognized Proverbs 31 Ministries She Seeks division, Lisa has used her ministry experience to successfully launch this ministry to twentysomethings. She is an advocate for Compassion International, and she blogs and vlogs regularly in the online community. She is a wife and mother of three and resides in North Carolina.
