Larry Richards

Over the past fifty years, Larry Richards has authored some 250 books and study Bibles. After serving as a curriculum editor at Scripture Press Publications, and teaching at the Wheaton College Graduate School, he "retired" in 1972 and has since devoted himself to writing full-time. Larry's writings fall into a number of categories; including Bible study aids, such as the Richards' Complete Bible Handbook (Nelson), the Essential Guide to the Bible (Guideposts), Devotional Commentary (Cook), and others; Bible teaching aids, such as the Teacher's Bible Commentary (Cook), Talkable Bible Stories (Zondervan), a series of books on teaching each age group from preschool through adult, and others; seminary textbooks, such as A Theology of Christian Education (Zondervan), Youth Ministry (Zondervan), A Theology of Personal Ministry (Zondervan), and others; dictionaries and encyclopedia, such as Richards' Bible Dictionary (Nelson), The NIV Encyclopedia of Bible Words (Zondervan); study Bibles, such as The Teen Study Bible (Zondervan), The Adventure Bible (Zondervan). God's Word for Boys (Baker), The Nelson Student Bible (Nelson), and others; devotional books, such as the Daybreakseries (Zondervan), and others; issues books, such as Remarriage (Word), When it Hurts Too Much to Wait (Word), and others; spiritual warfare books, such as The Full Armor of God (Chosen), Spiritual Warfare Jesus' Way (Chosen), and others. Richards and his wife, Sue, who is also an author, live in Raleigh, North Carolina.
