Kathie R. Phillips has served in children's ministry since the age of thirteen in both volunteer and paid staff leadership roles. Her writing journey began in 2012 when she launched her blog, which has been recognized as one of the top 100 kidmin blogs.

In 2017, her first book, Top 50 Object Lessons, was published with RoseKidz, a division of Tyndale House Publishers. In addition, she has written for FourFiveSix.org, preteenministry.net, churchleaders.com, kidzmatter.com,Grow Kids, Children's Ministry Magazine, What's in the Bible, and Group Publishing. A member of the board of directors for the International Network of Children's Ministry, she also serves as a coach at their annual Children's Pastors Conference.

Kathie lives with her family in Baltimore, Maryland, where she serves as the Senior Director of Next Gen Ministry at Central Presbyterian Church. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and watching episodes of her favorite television show, the original Beverly Hills, 90210.
