Hwa Yung is a bishop emeritus of the Methodist Church in Malaysia. He has served as a pastor and bishop of the Methodist Church, and as principal of Malaysia Theological Seminary. His wider ministry has included serving on the Council of Trustees of the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies, on the International Board of the Lausanne Movement, and as the president of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students. His writings are primarily in the field of contextual Asian theology and missiology.
