Gretchen Saffles is the founder of the global online women's ministry Well-Watered Women, the creator of the Give Me Jesus Bible study journal, and a passionate writer who longs to see women grasp the fullness of the gospel in everyday life. As a wife and mama, Gretchen has learned firsthand that just because your hands and days are full, it doesn't mean your heart has to be empty. Sharing her vulnerable life experiences, Gretchen writes with authenticity and boldness, encouraging women to seek Christ right where they are and live in his abundance.

Her journey began after college when she started working in youth and women's ministry at a church in Nashville. God used this time as a training ground to teach and grow her in her love for God's Word, and he gave her a passion to see women and girls know and delight in God's Word. After she got married and moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, she decided to take a leap of faith and begin an online shop and ministry called Life Lived Beautifully. Having no idea where to start, she started right where she was, with what she had: a small amount of money, a prayer journal, and a big dream stirring deep within her soul to encourage women to love Jesus deeply.

In 2014, God planted a fresh seed in her heart to create a Bible study journal for women to study God's Word. Through a series of God-ordained circumstances, the first Give Me Jesus journal launched in May of that year—and the initial batch of journals sold out within an hour. Since then, Gretchen's mission has been to create more Bible study resources and gospel-centered content to stir women's affection for Christ and equip them to know him more through his Word.

Gretchen changed the name of the ministry to Well-Watered Women to encompass the goal and mission of the ministry, founded on Isaiah 58:11. The mission of Well-Watered Women is to create engaging and theologically rich resources to grow women's love for God and his Word. Over the years, Gretchen has self-published several Bible studies, sold updated and revised versions of the Give Me Jesus journal, and created other guided journals and resources that walk women through various books of the Bible. She is the bestselling author of The Well-Watered Woman and The Well-Watered Life.

Gretchen lives in Atlanta with her husband, Greg, and their three children: Nolan, Haddon, and Emelyn. She loves going on adventures with her family, traveling to new places, daydreaming of wildflower fields, cooking tasty meals, baking chocolate chip cookies, painting, reading good books, and teaching women to know and love Jesus.
