D. James Kennedy

Dr. D. James Kennedy (1930-2007) was the senior minister of the nearly 10,000-member Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was founder and president of Evangelism Explosion International, which is the first ministry to be established in every nation on earth. In addition, he was chancellor of Knox Theological Seminary and founder of The Center for Christian Statesmanship in Washington, D.C., which endeavors to bring the gospel of Christ to those who hold the reins of power in our government. He founded The Center for Reclaiming America, which seeks to equip men and women to work in their communities to transform our culture. He authored more than 50 books.

His messages were broadcast by television and radio to over 40,000 cities and towns in America and 156 foreign countries, making him the most listened-to Presbyterian minister in the world.

Dr. Kennedy graduated summa cum laude and held nine degrees, including a Ph.D. He is listed in several dozen registries, including 2,000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 20th Century and the 1,000 Leaders of World Influence by the American Biographical Institute, and he was selected International Man of the Year for 1999–2000 by the International Biographical Center in Cambridge, England.
