Andrew Murray

Andrew Murray (1828–1917) was a Christian pastor, writer, and teacher in South Africa, and founder of an evangelical mission to Africa that continues to this day. Born to Scottish missionaries, Murray grew up in the Dutch Reformed tradition. He received a Master's from University of Aberdeen and studied theology at University of Utrecht. Authoring more than 50 books, Murray's writings would later become influential in the Pentecostal movement of the 20th century. Andrew and his wife Emma had eight children.
