And He sent His disciples to do same. And a Samaritan = just obvious story was about opposing cultures, but still showing God’s Love. The wounded man definetly a Jew.
Far above Theology is The Revelations of The Holy Spirit for those truly led by Him.

He made it very clear that Jesus meant for His listeners to understand that the man who was attacked was Jew like them, and the man who stopped was a Samaritan. They weren’t enemies in terms of warfare, but there was very real animus at the time. My pastor also pointed out that for Jesus to speak at the Samaritan woman at the well and then spend two days in her village meant that he was ritually unclean under Jewish laws. I appreciate it so much that there is this focus on the historical and social context in this answer. It’s so important in truly understanding God’s Word.

I’m sure the Lord wants us to focus on what happened, not who was it ! Thank you so much for sharing, greatly appreciated!!
Brothers and sisters we are one in CHRIST regardless, and next time we get an opportunity lets be that Good Samaritan regardless of race or sex !! Blessings to all .

That was Jesus’ audience, and the story makes more sense with that detail.

Surely I’m not the only one? Did you research how many people understood the identity without clarifying? Or is it closer to “if even 1 person doesn’t assume this, we should clarify it so that everyone understands it.”?
