Thankfully old dogs can learn new tricks and in doing so turn around and point the pups to a clearer path. This is my first Beth Moore book and definitely the most needed, but not the last I am sure. Finally being able to give shape and recognition to the mysterious dark and looming cloud of insecurity I can now join in the fight. For me, the healing of my injuries are not necessarily covered by scar tissue (tough and thick), nor are they just scabbed over (waiting to be picked at or accidentally reopened). Instead my wounds seem to be kept open as reminders to seek God continually and to be compassionate to others. Jesus is the salve that covers my wounds for healing. He is restoring me to his beauty, inside and out. 2 Cor. 12:9 "But my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." we may not understand why God does the things He does the way He does, but in this Beth Moore book, "So Long Insecurity," I am free to finally become the woman God is calling me to be as well as ways to help our three daughters and ten granddaughters (mothers, sisters, friends, etc). As I read the book, my husband (of over 25 years) and I learned even more about our relationship. I am blessed to have a husband who not only "puts up with" me as I grow but one who enjoys watching, joining, and helps me grow. As Beth Moore says, "so many words when only a few would do.)

Beth Moore's The Promise of Security booklet is a decent book, but I didn't really like it. It did not have an introduction or conclusion. It jumped from topic to topic, without clear flow or transitions. While verses were grouped under a subheading, there was no rhyme or reason that I could discern as to their organization. Within a subheading it went verse(s)-paragraph, new verse(s)-new paragraph. I found this booklet to be sporadic & random. I'm glad I didn't spend money on it. (I got it for free for a promotional through Amazon).
