I read this book in an effort to find something cool for my son to read when he's a little older. He's currently 7 and, while this would be a bit over his head, he's going to love this series in a couple years! The book gripped me from the start, as the story was being told from a robot's point of view. It was a great way to hook the reader! As the story slowly unfolded, the main character was an incredibly likable kid... flaws and all. I don't want to give away too much of the story, but if you've got a preteen son, I'm sure he'd enjoy this series! I have to say, I've seen some boys series that are just not cool enough (too sissified, to be precise)--we need more all-out boyish stuff like this!
